Reminds Me of You

If anything will remind me of you it is this;
the brief life of snow in this climate
and its beauty while it lasts

Wow! I think I'm in awe of short, powerful poems because I have difficulty writing them. This is magnificent.

That's really nice, Emily. Says a lot in a few words.

Succint, and sentimental.

erm....
What of the state of the snow near the end of the season?
Grimey slush. Reeking of dog and rife with litter.

I am with rhian here.
It is a profound image, except where I live - 8 straight months of snow!

Snow? What snow. We get flurries. And yes, i can see the humor that Rhian was talking about, after all short lived snow doesn't leave much of an impression.
Awesome poem. So many ways it can be interpreted.

Awesome Emily. A lot socked in those few words. I got a hint of humor in there too, Rhian, so no you're not the only one, but maybe we're both twisted.

Tell us Emily, any humor intende?

I read the comments, and if I looked at the poem with humor in mind, well, I'm sure I'm way off base with what popped into my head.

When I read it, it sounded to me like a fond memory.

Power packed for something so short!

LOL, I can't comment while I am at work. It is mean to be a somewhat wry comment on a past relationship.

Snow?? In the summer?? Why are you talking about snow??
It is still a great poem!!

hah! i got the wry humor! gold star for me! (Whew. i was scared. thought maybe i was "seeing" things again.)

Would you believe it started as part of an atrocious 'man from UNCLE' fanfiction?

I love such short verses which are loaded with meaning.
