I got this postcard in a mixed lot. It is blank on the back. I have tried my best to come up with any explanation as to what this is about--and drawn a blank.
Intriguing! If the couple were het I'd have said it was the old 'wait till you're married before having sex' campaign but as it is? Baffled, but in a good way. :)
Um.... on a serious note, 'moderne' or 'interprative dance really began at the end of the 19th century and most often was performed by an all female troupe. Isadora Duncan and her toga attired troupes would act out all sorts of classical, expressionistic and historical themes. Noting the male attire on the one dancer, I would believe it is an early 'moderne' dance depiction.

Your guess is as good as mine. Are the two women dancing? They may be gay.

Just a thought, thanks, Msp
