Pocket Review: The Last Night in Texas

That Last Night in Texas (Harlequin Superromance)
The first chapter or so of The Last Night in Texas was pretty good.  But after a big time jump when the hero rolls back into town, the story loses most of its zing.  Sure, she had his son and didn't tell him, but she is divorced, nearby and there is immediate mutual attraction, so.... The things is, there is really nothing keeping Ethan and Cassie apart.  In fact there don't seem to be any real obstacles for them to overcome, Ethan's relationship with his estranged father has more dramatic spark.  So, it was readable, the hero and heroine not unlikeable, but the plot was too thin for much in the way of twist, turns or anything very interesting to happen.
